The Speaking Section
An one-to-one interview with the examiner. Lasts for 11-14 minutes and is recorded for remark purposes.
Part 1
In this part, you will have to answer questions of familiar topics such as your work, study and hometown. It normally lasts for 3-4 minutes.
Part 2
In this part, you will have to continuously talk about a topic for 2 minutes. You can not choose what topic to talk. You have 1 minute to prepare what you want to say.
Part 3
This part is called academic discussions - where you have to answer questions of academic topics such as culture and tourism.
All IELTS examiners are well-trained. They either have to be native speakers of English or obtain a 9.0 IELTS certificate.
